01Introduction
These terms govern the use of the Smart City Explorer educational app and website, operated by Brand Institute, o. z., Reg. No. (IČO) 42174180, Havelkova 2795/30, 841 03 Bratislava, Slovak Republic (the “operator”). The app was created in cooperation with the Faculty of Social Sciences, UCM in Trnava, within the project KEGA 004UCM-4/2023.
By installing or using the app you agree to these terms.
02Registration and account
- Provide true and current details when registering.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential.
- The account is non-transferable and intended for one person, or for a school or class depending on the registration type.
- You can delete the account at any time — see Account deletion.
03Using the app
The app serves educational and participatory purposes. You agree:
- not to use the app contrary to law or good morals,
- not to interfere with its operation or attempt unauthorised access,
- not to abuse the coin system (for example by automated or fraudulent coin collection).
04Coins and rewards
Coins (Smart City Coins) are virtual, have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be transferred between accounts. They serve solely to redeem rewards available in the app.
The availability of specific rewards (transit tickets, event tickets, merchandise and similar) depends on what municipalities and partners offer and may change. We do not guarantee the permanent availability of any particular reward.
05Content and intellectual property
The educational content, design and the Smart City Explorer brand are protected and belong to the operator or the respective partners. The content may not be copied or redistributed without consent, except for ordinary educational use within the app.
06Limitation of liability
The app is provided “as is”. We make reasonable efforts to keep it running correctly, but we are not liable for interruptions of availability, data loss caused by force majeure, or damage caused by improper use.
07Changes to the terms
We may update these terms. Users will be informed of substantial changes in a suitable way in the app. By continuing to use the app after the changes take effect you agree to the new wording.
